Cory S Powers is the Project Manager at Jackson and Associates. He was born and raised in Cobb County, Georgia, and now lives in Sarasota, which is on the Gulf Coast of the Sunshine State. Powers, his wife, and their five kids moved to the city to be closer to family.

The Project Manager of operations for South Florida at Jackson and Associates is in charge of a wide range of tasks. These responsibilities include coming up with and putting into action operational strategies and keeping an eye on the day-to-day business operations. This includes things like scheduling and dealing with customers and employees.

Cory S Powers manages compliance with laws and rules in other places. The Georgian is good at selling, and he often helps the sales team for Jackson and Associates's South Florida region. He uses his knowledge to make sure that his team meets its sales goals and that customer satisfaction stays at or above its current level.

History of Education

​

Cory Powers grew up in Marietta, Georgia, and went to high school there until he went to college outside of the Atlanta area. He then went to Ferris State University to study. The main campus of Ferris State is in the Michigan city of Big Rapids.

​

In 1884, Helen and Woodbridge Ferris opened what is now Ferris State University. At that time, it was called the Big Rapids Industrial School. It was taken over by the state in 1950, and it was named a state university in 1987. Today, Ferris offers a wide range of educational opportunities that help its students have great futures.

​

After leaving Ferris, Powers, who was born and raised in the Peach State, continued to improve his skills by reading about different things and taking useful classes in his spare time. He is also a self-taught craftsman who loves to build and fix things and teach others how to do the same.

Foundation Folds of Honor

​

Powers recently joined the Folds of Honor Foundation, which helps military and first responder families get college scholarships. Folds of Honor is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been around since 2007. It helps the families of disabled or dead service members and first responders get important scholarships for college.

Community and Disability Services at Easterseals

​

Powers is also happy to give his time to the 501(c)(3) organization Easterseals Community and Disability Services. As part of the organization's Parent's Night Out Respite Program, he often helps out. Easterseals fights for people with disabilities to get education and outreach services that help them learn, live, and enjoy life in the community.

Heifer

​

Powers gives money to Heifer International all the time. Heifer International is a non-profit organization that works to end poverty and hunger around the world. It does this through values-based, long-term community development around the world. This is on top of giving livestock and training to communities that are struggling.

American Epilepsy Foundation

​

Powers, which is based in Florida, also gives money to the Epilepsy Foundation of America on a regular basis. The Epilepsy Foundation of America's mission is to lead the fight to help people with epilepsy live better lives. It is also committed to speeding up therapies and other treatments meant to stop seizures and save lives, with the ultimate goal of finding a cure for the condition.

Interests of one's own

​

Since 1998, Cory S Powers has been happily married. He and his wife have four daughters and one son who are between the ages of six and sixteen. In June 2022, the family moved to Sarasota, Florida, to be close to family. This includes Powers's two brothers and his in-laws, who have all moved to the city, which is on Florida's Gulf Coast just south of Tampa.

Powers has a lot of hobbies and interests outside of his job and the charity work he does all the time. Some of these things are sports, traveling, and working out. He is a talented and skilled athlete, and he and his whole family take part in many different sports. Basketball, football, club volleyball, and soccer are some of these sports.

​

Powers has been a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs football team for as long as he can remember. He often goes to see his team play in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference. As a skilled craftsman, he also likes to make and fix things, such as furniture and other things.

​

He likes to walk and spend time outside, especially on the miles of fine sand beaches in Sarasota. The beaches in the city, like Lido Beach and Siesta Key Beach, are known for their clear, shallow water and fine, white sand.
